How do you find inspiration?
I find inspiration in my everyday life. Lately, I love iridescent finishes & metals. In this project, I painted the holographic effect of light reflecting with metal paint or lighting used.

What are you currently working on?
I’m currently working on 4 bodypainting series: “FLOWERS”, “ROBOTS”, “PLASTIC”. IN Fine art I’m working on the body of work for “Duality” fine art collection.

Are you traveling for your art?
Yes, I’m. I travel if my clients are out of San Diego. Most of the time I work in Los Angeles. Also traveling to conventions such as Arnold’s Bodybuilding convention in Columbus OH. Working at festivals such as Lucidity (Santa Barbara, CA), Fantasy Fest in Key West. Teaching classes in Los Angeles, New York, Palm Springs.

What is your process like?
My process for bodypainting is simple: inspiration ➡️ creation ➡️ editing (video, photos)➡️ sharing with my fans

How did you teach yourself?
To teach myself practicing new techniques, learning online if I don’t know something & try to do creative play when creating with final goal or direction.

What was the most valuable thing you learned in art school?
Human anatomy, composition & fast sketching.

Who is your mentor and what did they teach you?
I don’t have a mentor right now.

Why do you create art?
Art is my self-expression, my meditation and a way to share with people my inspiration & ideas.

What is your favorite piece you’ve created?
Fine Painting “Unity” & “Crab” multiple models illusion for Skin Wars

What is your favorite piece by another artist?
From my latest Chiara Bautista ‘ Love Songs’

Why do you work in the medium that you do?
If we are talking about bodypainting, I love this medium cause it’s much more social to paint on people compare to paint on canvas.
Anyway I love to paint on canvas as well, love painting in oils, watercolors & ink. Cause I love how I can express different effects on paper and canvas with different mediums.

What is your favorite place to create?
My favorite place to create in my studio.

TIMELAPSE VIDEO OF CREATING WATCH ON MY YOUTUBE CHANNEL:

PLASTIC PEOPLE

Bending the trust
Losing the faith
Keeping the lust
Losing the hate
Burning the angry
Fighting the pain
Blood sweat and tears

Gain nothing but strain

So live in your bubble
Believe all your lies
Put on your makeup
Wear your disguise
Pretend to be perfect
Hide all the pain
There’s nothing to lose
And nothing to gain
Lying to keep
Trusting to love
All but to find
You’ve got a black dove
Acquiring a status
Remembering a name
Your reputation
Brings nothing but shame
You’ll keep on looking
Till you find it’s gone
And then you’ll be wondering
What went wrong?
But he can’t help you
And she doesn’t care;
Fixing her makeup
And doing her hair
Plastic people
Have nothing to lose
When you can have everything
Why would you choose?
To live in reality
To feel all the sin
Why give up
This dream that you’re in? - poem by Cirsten Spangenberg
